Gates Foundation Grants $9.7 Million
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has given $9.7 Million dollars to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. That’s an amazing sum of money for a single grant for charity… the money will help pay for research and clinical trials of vaccines.   The AP article on Yahoo provides some interesting data and stated that The Gates Foundation has spent over $500 million on HIV/AIDS research and prevention. I didn’t realize that over 14% of new HIV infections occur in children- most of which contract the disease from the mothers. The Gates Foundation is doing amazing things.
