This is true from my experience. A few years ago while doing community canvassing on behalf of raap.org (Rape Assistance and Awareness Program) it was a fact the individuals in the middle class neighborhoods were more hospitable than their higher end counterparts. Disclaimer: Not trying to jump on the I Hate Rich Folk bandwagon. Just? sharing personal expierience. Love everybody.

I know this is anecdotal, but I had a roommate in college who’s parents paid for everything. They weren’t super rich, but they were well off enough to support him completely. When we would eat out he would never tip, and if we ordered delivery, he would never? tip, and he would try to justify it. I would always have to compensate for it because I felt bad for the servers/delivery people. I nearly always tip well, because I know these people earn crap wages.

The Middle Class are exposed to hardship & the Lower Classes in their everyday? life. They know suffering firsthand, or at least secondhand or thirdhand. The Wealthy Class live in their own little bubbles of gated communities, private schools, & exclusive communities, removed as far as they can from ordinary life & the real world. And quite a few of the wealthy got there precisely because they have always been money-grubbing, tight & stingy. Shit rises to the top.

I worked for a car wash in high school and noticed basically the exact same thing. People with? really nice cars would give shit tips and people who rolled up in a shitty old car were the ones who gave the biggest tips. Wanna know why? A rich person doesn’t know what it is like to depend on tips to eat. For the most part they have never worked jobs where you are are tipped and those that have could have cared less bc their family was already rich and a bad tip isn’t going to effect their lives.

I like to think of it as a drug smuggling tunnel or channel, that tunnel also makes money, its all part of your underground shady business equity. (if you understand how common money laundering practices work, you’d know that any business or “transaction” can be used for money laundering), you can imagine the different ways you could take those donations and make portions disappear, but I’m sure were all very well protected like our investments in? wall street are.

I sacrafice my own wants to support charitable causes I believe in and give my time to a local food bank. I over tip good servers at restaurants. I take only what I need and give the rest to those that have less and unlike many wealthy folks, I don’t list my donations as a? percentage of income to make me feel good. I don’t need to.
