Muslims, do you give $$ in charity besides Zakat?

Maybe $2 – $5 every visit you make to the friday prayer or something else? If so, do you find money coming back to you in strange/unexpected ways? I feel that everytime i give charity Allah rewards me in some material/spiritual way.

  1. I have a donation box in my room, I put money into there, once it is filled I give it to the nasjid or where it is needed and sometimes donate online. Indeed we should spend our money in charity we are so blessed, thus we should give it in Allah (swt)s way.

  2. Muslims usually give it to people in need, mosques being built.
Yes, i felt that something good has happend to me when i did a good deed. i havent given out my yet because i havent reached the age where im suppose to.
theres other rewards like going to jannah

  3. Yes, it happens to me.
Once I saw this really old beggar, and I gave him all my lunch money even though I had to stay at school till 6 in the evening.
I felt so hungry, but at the same time I was happy because I had fed a poor man.
Then suddenly, I find hundred bucks in the school field.
Allah always gives back a hundred times more.
Never hesitate in giving charity. :)

  4. yes, we do charity work

  5. : Sadaqah – charity is a necessary concern for our fellow human beings.
: The best sadaqah is given in secret, to respect the dignity of the recipient and to keep the motives of the giver free of pride or desire for praise.
    : Qur’an: (3:92):
    “Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem”
“You shall not attain righteousness unless you spend on others of that which you love, and whatever you spend, verily Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala has knowledge of it.”
: Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam, stated:
“The best sadaqah is that which the right hand gives and the left hand does not know of it.”

  6. Assalamualaikum

To be honest, I’ve slacked recently in giving charity (sadqah) and to be even more honest I’ve found that as a result there has been less barakah (blessings) in my life. I fully agree with you when you say that everytime you give charity, Allah rewards you in the most unexpected ways. This used to also happen to me when I was more involved in giving charity and it seems that everytime I stopped giving charity, there would be less blessings in my life but the moment I started giving again, there would be money and blessings and goodness coming from the most unexpected sources. I encourage anyone else here to try it for themselves and they will see how happy Allah becomes with them that goodness starts entering their lives. JazakAllah for this question because it has reminded me to do something really noble which I’ve somewhat forgotten to do of late and may Allah reward you for encouraging us to engage in the very pious act of giving more Sadqah

    Salaam
