I found a place in Salt Lake City that will send toys to girls and boys in Iraq.
We usually give a donation to a local charity, but this year we have a special reason for wanting to give to children in different countries who could use some joy and fun, for a change. Babies, small children, teens. They all need a little love.
This is video from a live stream we did, its of such a poor quality we decided not to put them up on the main channels, so I put them here for the people who still want to watch it. You see it all the time and how do you know that these people are actually really helping people? Also do you think one charity should not give to another charity is it just a game of passing the buck to make it look like they are helping people when in realality they are not? What are your thoughts on this?
Our philanthropy is literacy, mostly with children, but we wanted to reach out and do something with the elderly in the nursing home. It doesn’t have to involve reading, but we would like it to. I know that we might could set apart an hour to read small books to the patients who have bad eyes, like one on one, but what is an activity that we can do together as a group? I’ll take any ideas, literacy related or not.
This short film is the story of two boys diagnosed with Myotonic Dystrophy and the fight of many compassionate people who are giving to charity to advance promising, yet very underfunded research. People who give to this charity are an important part of finding a cure for Myotonic Dystrophy, and many children and adults may be able to live a life like you and I. Give to this charity and leave a great legacy to this world, within your own life time. Please see the new Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation website at: www.Myotonic.com. Thank you for helping us get to a cure.
Can anyone direct me where I can find information as to how much Oprah personally gives to charity? Is that public information since she’s a public person?
I need a specific year and then that same year how much she was worth.
I need a specific year and then that same year how much she made that year only.
Not that she gives from the Angel Network. I understand that’s not her money but viewers.
I’m thinking of doing a paper on Philanthropy and Charity. Something interesting like that. To where folks could see actual numbers and how they too could contribute the same as Joneses.
